Willis C. Jenkins is a native of San Diego, CA and has
practiced for over 8 years as a PTA. Specializing in orthopedics and sports medicine, Willis received his undergraduate
degree in Psychology from Oregon State University and Associates Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from Mt Hood Community
in Portland, OR. A Competitive athlete himself, Willis has worked with youth teams up to Elite world Class track athletes.
He is currently trained by 400 Meter Hurdle and 2 time World Champion, 2004 Olympic Champion Felix Sanchez, where he has
accomplished the title of 2009 Georgia games 200 Meter Champion and 2010 100-200 meter champion in the Masters division.
He played Football, and ran track in high school then went on to receive a Football Scholarship in the PAC 10. He has developed
off season training (Speed, Agility & Quickness) programs for multiple sports from high school to Elite athletes.
Willis's clinical continued education course work includes a number of Orthopaedic therapy courses; muscle energy, myofacial
release, and plyometric and core stabilization techniques as well as balance and proprioception rehabilitation. Willis is currently
working on his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification which he hopes to complete in 2011. He specializes
in hands on treatment, sports medicine and Biomechanics training to prevent injuries. Recent coursework includes training by Dr. Kevin
Wilk where he furthered his joint mobilization, neuro-muscular, and manual therapy techniques. Willis brings to Genesis Sports Medicine
a passion to progress people to get better and push the level of physical therapy using clinical skills, education, and current trends
about the injury along with injury prevention. "You can't put out 50% effort and expect to get 100% results."
Willis has been a member of the Genesis Sports Medicine family since September of 2010. |
