Derryl Dickerson, PTA, is a native of Weaver, Alabama. He is a 2006 graduate of Auburn University where he earned his undergraduate degree in Exercise Science. Derryl worked as a Physical Therapy Tech in Oxford, Alabama before moving to the Atlanta area in 2008. He received his Associates' degree in 2010 from Athens Technical College as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

Derryl is an accomplished four year letterman in both high-school football and baseball where he served as Captain for both team two years in a row. He uses his competitive background in athletics and exercise physiology to compliment his clinical skills that are easily incorporated into treatment programs. Outside of work, Derryl enjoys watching and playing sports, being a proud father and husband, as well as spending time with family and friends.

A May 2011 addition to Genesis Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation, Derryl brings an appreciation for hard work, a passion for life-long learning, charisma, and a drive to help patients accomplish their physical therapy goals.
